FAQS
Do you treat the whole body?
Yes, I treat the neuromusculoskeletal system which includes the whole body.
How long does an evaluation take?
The first visit is typically an hour in length. This includes diagnostic testing to rule out
any serious causes of the patient's condition, and physical or orthopedic exams to identify
any structural or functional causes of pain.
What are structural and functional causes of pain?
Structural causes of pain include things such as a herniated disc, a torn meniscus,
a rotator cuff tear, an ankle sprain, or tendonitis. Functional causes of pain are
identified when the interaction or control of certain muscles and joints is
functioning poorly. For example, tight or weak hip muscles can cause knee pain, or
tight chest muscles can create shoulder problems.
What type of chiropractic technique do you do?
I practice a variety of techniques and like to match my treatment methods to each
patient's needs and preferences. Some patients are very sensitive and respond
effectively to a lighter touch, other patients need a more assertive treatment.
Will I be adjusted?
Some conditions need mobility and some need stability -- often both are needed for
different areas. Chiropractic adjustments may be used. If the patient prefers not to
be adjusted, other techniques can be used to the same benefit.
How many visits will I need?
My goal is to help patients recover as quickly as possible and make them independent of my
care.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I am in-network with a number of plans. If you do not have health insurance or chiropractic coverage, a
reduced rate is available.
